Biratchowk– A Navagraha Research Center is set to be established at the New Vrindavan Gaushala in Sundarharaicha-5, with an aim to promote Vedic astrology and religious tourism in the region.
The announcement was made during a special event organized by the Nepal Jyotish Parishad, and hosted by its Koshi Province chapter. Speaking at the event, Baburam Niraula, President of Nepal Jyotish Parishad (Koshi Province), shared detailed insights about the purpose and structure of the upcoming center. According to him, the center will offer services such as astrological research, Navagraha (Nine Planetary Deities) studies, training, and consultations.
Former Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, attended the program as the chief guest. In his remarks, he expressed confidence that such institutions dedicated to Vedic sciences and spiritual knowledge will contribute positively to society.
Also present as special guests were Kedar Prasad Guragai, Mayor of Sundarharaicha Municipality; Dil Prasad Rai, Mayor of Belbari Municipality; Dr. Sahadev Bisht, President of the South Asian Astrological Council; and Dinbandhu Shastri, Patron of the New Vrindavan Gaushala.
The center is expected not only to serve as a hub for astrological studies but also to boost regional religious tourism, cultural awareness, and social harmony.
